Potential PhD students

Are you interested in doing a PhD that is related to my research interests? If so, please contact me so that we can discuss it. Here is a brief list of of suggested PhD topics:

Iterated belief change: I think it is time to take stock of the research of the past ten years and present a coherent picture of the state of the art.
Efficient implementations of belief change techniques: Work on this topic will involve the use of BDDs, normal forms such as DNNF and its variants, and operations research techniques to implement belief change operators.
Managing inconsistent ontologies: This is an exciting research area with many basic questions still unanswered. There is scope here for anything from highly theoretical work, right through to the other side of the spectrum involving mostly implementation.
